Testimonials
Back in 2019, I bought a WowStick that you had to put batteries in. I loved it. So in 2021 when I saw this one, with a built in battery, faster RPMs, and a ring light, I thought it was a great idea. The battery is great. I’ve had this since May and I haven’t had to charge it more than twice. The ring light is awesome! But I use my old one more than I use the new one. The reason is that there seems to be a clutch mechanism on the new one that slips all the time. It scan drive the screws in (normally) but it won’t get them tight. You can stop the rotation by gently grabbing the tip. The old driver doesn’t seem to be available anymore (at least it doesn’t come up in my Amazon search). Which is a shame because after 3 years of hard use it is still going strong. But this one has been dropped into the junk drawer. I didn’t return it because like an idiot, I immediately lost a couple of the bits. And I think if you lose parts, no matter what your opinion is of the product as a whole, you shouldn’t return the item. But hopefully my experience is unique and you won’t have the same issue. I’d review the other review and look specifically for this “slipping” issue. Ignore the reviews that complain it’s not as fast as a larger electric screwdriver. It’s does 170 rpm. You can do a maximum of 60 rpm by hand. So it’s plenty fast for the small screws you’ll be putting in. If you are trying to put up dry wall with a mini screw driver, well, maybe you shouldn’t be putting up dry wall in the first place. Just saying…. 🙂

I have wanted one of these for a while but was waiting for a usb c version and it is finally here. So far, only a few complaints. The cap should not have had a clip on it since it interferes with putting it back on. You can still do it, just makes it awkward. Torque is enough for most things but you can manually turn it if you need a little more to get a screw started. There is a big selection of bits; they are holding up alright so far but can’t speak to long term quality yet. The bit size is standard for small drivers so you can get replacements of higher quality. I keep this at my desk for quick access and wish they came up with some way to organize all the bits for quick access, fiddling with the tubes is a pain. The tiny magnetic bit holder comes close but only holds 7 bits (and you can keep one on the driver itself for 8) and it seems like I always need one that I didn’t put there. Another disappointing thing is the stand; it looks amazing but it is through hole, so the driver just bangs against the desk when you put it in. There is a rubber pad at the bottom that does not extend past the metal, so it is useless in protecting the desk. Overall a useful tool if you need to take small electronics apart frequently and very stylish, pleasing to use.

Seemed a little bit pricey, however after receiving the actual product I could see how well this little gadget is built. It is very light, quiet and ergonomically well designed. It is perfect for electronics like laptops, cameras and smartphones.

Using this mostly for model building, namely Warhammer 40k and others, and it’s perfect to drill holes effortlessly when converting models, bolter drilling, etc. Some smaller pieces will need a guiding hole by hand (with pin vice or the point of an xacto blade) to make sure it’s well centered and that you won’t ruin the bits, but otherwise you can go right in with it. Used mostly on plastic and resin so far, not sure I’d want to dull the drill bit on metal minis yet. Highly recommended!
